How are you feeling? We’re here to help.

Your emotional and mental well-being are just as important as your physical health. EBNHC’s Mental Health and Social Services Department is here to help when you feel overwhelmed, depressed, chronically anxious, or have a family problem you just can’t fix on your own. We understand that everyone needs a little help from time to time.

Our staff of highly qualified, experienced, and well-trained licensed mental health professionals includes clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, a licensed marriage and family therapist, a clinical nurse specialist, and a consultant psychiatrist. Additionally, we participate in psychiatric residency and social work internship training programs. The staff works throughout the health center, rather than in one group of offices, to allow our patients to receive care conveniently and confidentially, where and when they need it.

We treat a range of conditions, including major depression, anxiety disorder, adjustment disorder, divorce, domestic abuse, and ADD in children. We offer psychotherapy individually to adults, teens, and children, as well as groups, families, and couples. We also provide psychopharmacology consultations and crisis assessment and management. Whether the issues are family, job, or stress related, our well-qualified staff provides assessment, referral and/or brief, focused treatment. We offer services in English and Spanish and strive to provide high-quality mental health services in a culturally sensitive, confidential, and caring manner.

To qualify for mental health services at EBNHC, you must be a primary care patient of the health center. Due to the collaborative nature of the services we provide, our patients must be committed to receiving their health care here, too. You must also have a condition that can be managed in a primary health care setting. If your condition is one that cannot be treated at our health center, we will complete an evaluation and refer you to a suitable care facility.

If you are interested in accessing mental health or social services at EBNHC, speak to your primary care provider and he or she will submit a referral. You can also call the self-referral line at 617-568-4545 and a clinician will contact you in a timely manner.
