Making it better, one smile at a time.

pediatricThe Pediatrics Department at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center provides high-quality, affordable health care to the children and families of East Boston and surrounding communities. Today, our Pediatrics Department cares for almost every child living East Boston. That’s a lot of kids!

Our clinic is open until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas). With 13 pediatricians and a full staff of nurse practitioners and other medical team members, we provide complete care from immunizations and well-child checkups to surgical and specialized care. We speak Spanish, and connect families to nutrition, social services, insurance, mental health, and other programs. We have a board-certified lactation consultant on staff who is also a nurse—and is tri-lingual.

If your child has an urgent medical problem during the night or outside of our regular hours, come to our 24-hour Pedi Walk-In Clinic. Call us first and we will give you an approximate time in which you can be seen. We will make every attempt to have you seen by your own pediatrician.

We strive to meet the needs of all families, with programs to support health and well-being. Whatever your needs or circumstances are, the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center is here for you and your children.

EBNHC meets the needs of all families with programs to support health and well-being, including:

  • Preventive pediatric health care
  • Hearing evaluations
  • WIC: Women Infants and Children (WIC) food and nutrition services
  • Dentistry
  • Optometry
  • Social services
  • CATCH (Children’s Access to Coordinated Healthcare): Medical and social support for families of children with multiple disabilities
  • Let’s Get Movin’: Exercise, nutritional education, and medical monitoring to prevent obesity and support a healthier lifestyle for children

Just for teens: Our Teen Clinic is here to help you with your health concerns and questions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. You do not need to be accompanied by an adult.

The Pediatrics Department is located at 10 Gove Street, East Boston, on the third floor. To speak with a nurse, or to make an appointment, call us at 617-568-4477.
