The women of East Boston and surrounding communities are in good hands. For women at all stages of life—from teens to seniors—the Women’s Health Department at the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center provides comprehensive, high-quality, affordable health care.

Women have changing and sometimes complicated health needs. Whether you have a baby on the way or are entering menopause, our medical team understands your concerns and is here to help. Your nurse practitioner, a specialist in women’s health, provides confidential care whenever you come to see us.

The Women's Health Department provides the following programs and services:

• Family planning
• Pregnancy testing
• Prenatal and postpartum care
• Childbirth classes
• Birth Sister Program
• Postpartum depression and mental health screening
• Gynecologic wellness care
• Osteoporosis care
• Menopause care
• Breast and cervical cancer screening
• Urogynecology (treatment for problems with urine loss)

Our clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and until 7 p.m. on Thursday. We speak Spanish, and connect families to nutrition, social services, insurance, mental health, and other programs.
