Volunteer opportunities.

The care we provide is enhanced by the valuable support of generous individuals who are willing to share their time and talents. The partnerships we have with many area agencies help us to maximize the capabilities of these volunteers.

Volunteer opportunities include mentoring, reading to children in the pediatrics department, and providing assistance and support to patients by escorting them to appointments. There are many volunteer opportunities through the Elder Service Plan, including recreation assistance, serving meals, companion visiting, and secretarial support. Secretarial and reception support, as well as data entry assistance, is needed throughout the health center. A few currently highlighted positions include:

Companion visiting: Share some time with an elder in their home. Chatting, playing cards, or just being there brings much-needed companionship to someone who may be alone or feeling isolated.

Medical escorting: Medical escorts attend medical appointments with patients who need assistance. Appointments may be at EBNHC or at other sites.

Let's Get Movin': Volunteer your time to help fight obesity by working with kids either after-school or during the summer. Have fun while you help implement activities and games that will keep kids active and off the streets.

Mentoring: Many children need a role model to help with school tutoring or just someone to talk to. Share your time and expertise!
